Hi Lovelies,
Welcome back! And welcome if You are new here xo

Hope the start of the year is treating You well?
Since I’s been sick since Christmas day, I have had time to think. As many of You, I am entering this year with Low Buy plans.
No Buy/ low buy
There’s plenty of these kind of videos on Youtube, You can watch them for inspiration or You can go on and create Your own rules. At first I was thinking of strict No Buy for the first three months for the year, but I will be honest with You, I already failed at that by buying a few clothing items in the sales. Hear me out. Pre holidays we made plans including shopping trip some time around New Year, so I was looking forward to that for weeks now. Holidays came, I cleaned, cooked, shopped, hosted & got sick immediately after. Then my kid got sick with flu & chicken pox on top of that. A week into 2025 we are still in the thick of it. As You can imagine, the thought of yet another week of being house bound, sent me to the main street like a bullet and I failed my no buy there and then. I was beating myself up for a few days, but then I thought to myself it’s not that I hurt anybody, right? I only got a few pieces I know full well I am going to wear, so where is the harm? I think I said the same at the beginning of last year, but I was surprised to see sales prices – they were barely a few euros above charity shops prices. Something is not right there.
Anyways, after the slip up I am going back the the plan. What’s the plan You ask? Well, let me tell You.
– Be very mindful with every euro that leaves my wallet.
– Keep beauty/ skin care products number the same. Repurchases of something that has run out is allowed, buying new products of the same kind is not. I don’t need to have four serums open at the same time. One is enough, I am against unnecessary waste of any kind. No back ups of anything, natural products have shorter shelf life.
– Groceries are allowed, but again, mindfully.
– Health care is allowed as needed. Wellness on the other hand, only repurchases. Wellness is important, yes, but the prices can be insane and a lot of that can be DIYed with what we already have.
– That’s it for the rules, wish me good luck! If You want to join in the challenge, let me know. I will add You to IG chat group, there are currently four of us.
Stock take & wishlist
To keep myself in line, I am doing a stock take of my beauty products – it is a good visual reminder to have everything written down in front of You. If You are like me, You might be keeping products in different parts of the house & You might not realize the actual quantity You own. It might be a good idea to gather everything into one place and photograph it. As much as I like having a choice, I know I am irritated by cluttered spaces.
I am yet to do my 2024 Best Products post(s), please bare with me on this. I am still in the sickness/ sleepless nights fog.
For the meantime, You can check out my 2023 Best Products posts, vast majority will be the same, since trying new products wasn’t the goal for me in 2024.

Wrapping up last year’s projects
Let’s wrap up Slow Fashion Year Project here. As You might know, I aimed to track all the fashion items that came into my life in 2024. I didn’t have specific goal in mind, but I do tend to shop locally, mindfully and with the heavy focus on the charity shops. Here You can see the last post from October if You want to have a look?
I looked at my notes & it turns out I bought nothing in December, as I was focused for preparing for Christmas. Before You asked, I was fine to re-wear my LBD and rework what I already own, thank You very much. Here is my break down for November and the yearly totals. Drum roll please?
November 24 | ||||
Long grey puffer jacket | TKMaxx | 59.99
2 x bags | SVPD outlet | 2 | ||
3 x pleather jackets | SVPD outlet | 3
Pink dress w long sleeves | SVPD outlet | 1 | 65.99 |
My yearly total amount – €560. Well, it was €559.48, but who’s counting, right 🙂 The only new things I got were basics and winter jacket, the rest came from charity stores. Was I feeling deprived and miserable because of the lack of latest must haves? No, quite the opposite. I was feeling good and almost smug at the amount of money I spent on fashion. I congratulated myself every time I found a bargain. Everything I got was worn with love and pride, I absolutely love fashion. I love colours, patterns, natural materials, some unusual details and creative combos. I don’t focus on what’s new and trendy, I focus on my own style and what brings me joy. Isn’t that the right way to look at fashion? Wasn’t it Coco Channel that said that fashion fades but style remains?
So yes, many thanks for staying with me the whole year. Will I continue this project into 2025? Probably not, as it is not really helpful for the audience in the grand scheme of things. After all I couldn’t include links for You guys, sometimes I was feeling a bit silly posting “look at what I just got” content. But overall I think I did a good job showcasing that You can find gems second hand, even if it means sorting through rails and rails of stuff. I don’t shop online for second hand for various reasons, but I am glad if You can make it work for yourselves.
Want my best tips what to look for and what’s best left in the shop? I talk all about it in this post right here.

THINGS
Nothing for beauty yet, but as I said, I bought a few clothing items. One white shirt with leopard print pocket, two black and white turtlenecks, one pair of trainers and canvas motorcycle jacket – all for under 100€. Since I know everything will be well used, I am ok with that.
That’s it, thanks for reading!
