Welcome back! And welcome if You are new here xo

Summer 2024 Favourites – Green Life In Dublin

How are all of You, I hope summer is treating You well? It’s time I spilled the tea on my summer 24 favourites – all natural and organic, of course!

I hope You are having amazing summer, wherever You are in the world! I have not been blessed with great health or summery weather, but I still have some summer favourites, mind You 🙂

ELISABETH33 SOLID SHAMPOO BAR & SOAP WITH ARNICA

This brand is created by Lisa Gustavson, holistic nutritionist and natural beauty affectionado – someone I admired for years and years. So I didn’t hesistated for one second when she offered me a chance to try her products. I have to say I am very impressed with both of them, especially shampoo bar. My 2b/2c fine wavy hair are unruly at the best of times, so very few natural shampoos make it look great. I am happy to report this is one of my Holy Grails! It make my hair look salon worthy and it also withstands hairdryer, does not make my hair lose shine. I want that shampoo bar to never end!  Let me know if You want me to blog about my favourite natural shampoos, I would be happy to do it for You.

evolve organic beauty bio retinol glossy lip oil, day cream and climate defence facial cream spf30

Well, it is any wonder to any of You? My love for Evolve Organic Beauty is never ending! I truly am a broken record at this point, so many of their products are my Holy Grails, so let’s just rotate them, shall we? I truly can list everything, because majority of the products are from them – to the point where I am hesitant to try new products from other brands. I have written so many posts & reviews of their products – just hit the search box and it will give You pages and pages of content. Again, many products are forever faves and in heavy rotation. For this post, let’s highlight their Climate Defence Facial Cream SPF30 (my sunscreen of choice, natural protection from the sun sans white cast), Bio Retinol Glossy Lip Oil (very healing and nourishing) and Day Renewal Facial Cream (long standing fave). I am about to run out of all of those things. Evolve Beauty, if You are reading this, I would appreciate replenishments xo

delizioso natural skincare Coconut Mango Raw Nourishment Body Butter

I had to have a little talk with myself to try this versus repurchasing my beloved Evolve Organic Beauty Tropical Blossom Body Butter for the seventeenth time (no kidding). I am so glad I did. This is just as delicious. The ingredients are great, it works great, smells great, makes Your skin soft and delicious. You also get more product for roughly the same price, but I wish this wasn’t housed in plastic, that is my only issue with it.

*note a couple of months later – the scent has changed, so I will have to keep an eye on it & probably finish it soon. I will keep You posted.

reading

If You follow me for any amount of time, You might know my love of reading, particularly non fiction. After all, what do You do when You are stuck in bed with unexpected health problems for a month? You read of course! Here is my current reading list for Your viewing pleasure. Bonus brownie points if You follow my other IG page Green Life In Dublin Reads 🙂 If You happen to love heath & wellness books, as well as self development type of books, I would love to hear Your recommendations.

peaches & nectarines

They are in season now and at their best – I can’t stop eating them! They never make it into pies or compotes, they are washed and eaten as soon as they are brought home. The joys of summer!

styling home

One year on, I am still so enjoying making a house into home. All these treasures and decor pieces I have been collecting over the years, they truly found their places without any effort in our new home. I am toying with the idea of putting my home out there – even when half of me wants it to stay private.

sand and fog natural candles

One can never have too many candles. Especially natural ones, which are kind of hard to find where I am. Even when I lived in Dublin, I had difficulties finding it locally, so now that I live in the sticks, I had to sort of give up. Luckily for me, Live In The Light saves the day – they carry Sand And Fog candles, which I have been loving for years and years. Variety of scents and sizes for affordable prices? Yes please! All natural, of course.  While candles are mostly associated with winter, I can’t resist the temptation of lighting one or two in summer too, especially in the weather we are having for most of the time. I mean, 17*C to 20*C, what sort of summer is that?

English Mineral Make Up brow pencil

I love love love this mother and daughter founded mineral make up brand from the UK. I already reviewed the products and talked about their other products over the years, so let’s feature the humble brow pencil this time. This perfection to the end. From colour, to the triangle pointy shape, to the retractable packaging with spooly at the end, I love it all. It stays put all day without any additional products to seal it, yet easily comes off with any make up remover product. Like I said, love!

GARDENING

Well, sort of. First year gardening, so I am making mistakes, plus I don’t have access to the actual ground/ soil, so container gardening it is. I am so enjoying the process of growing something though. Here is a picture of home grown lavender (or lavandula?) for Your enjoyment. Time for me to figure out if all lavender types are edible, thus can be made into a tea. Lavender scrub perhaps?

THRIFTED FASHION

I am enjoying it so much that I made it into a year of Slow Fashion. I am tracking and blogging my progress. You can see my post on it below, although it definitely could do with an update. I bought very little clothes over the summer, but I managed to score a score of the century – a Louis Vuitton scarf for only two euro! The old(er) ladies didn’t recognize the brand and put it into  the accessories bin. Bless their hearts! I am never letting it go & will treasure it forever. I believe it to be original too, as it is 65% cashmere & 35% wool. Fakes would be made of synthetic materials, no?

That’s it, the list of things that brought joy to my heart this summer. I would love to know what are Your recent favourites?
